...follow authority (honor the father and thy mother)

Where do you fit, dear Filipino?

If you've been to the UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi)
...you'll notice that Filipinos are usually the ones doing the servant jobs
...customer service reps at mall stores
...service crew at fast food joints
...maids galore
...hotel staff

I wonder what it's like in other countries
...I barely saw any Filipinos in Germany
...my German friends told me they're mostly nurses and seamen
...barely any Filipinos in Switzerland
...mostly tourists and the odd Filipina who 'lucked out' and got married by a Swiss
...legion of nurses in the USA
...legion of caretakers in the UK

The global conciousness still associate the word Filipina with 'wife', 'servant', 'nurse', and 'maid'
...good or bad?
...do you think that needs to change?
...how?

Would this servant mentality that Filipinos have be the reason why merchants love going to the Philippines and enslaving the people
...under the guise of 'giving them opportunities to make a living' ??
...surely there's no shortage of servants to enslave
