Reconstituted Food

I've noticed the amount of leftover foods people leave on food courts, and it's kind of disturbing
...one time I saw a piece of chicken leg completely uneaten
...another time I saw the person take one bite out of a whole 'combo' meal then leave

Then I started imagining how much food I can collect inside one food court
...then probably re-prepare or re-cook them to give to the poor
...all that collected food can probably feed a small barangay

You can do this research project yourself
...stay at a food court of a mall for about 2 or 3 hours
...and write down the kinds of 'salvage-able' (puede pa) left-overs you see

...in a certain amount of square metres of space

Then take the total number of hours the food court is open
...divide that by 2 or 3 or how many hours you stayed
...this is X

Take the total number of square meters of the entire food court
...divide that by the amount of space in square meters you were observing
...this is Y

Take the amount of leftover food you observed
...then multiply it by X and Y
...then you get a rough estimate of how much leftovers the entire food court can produce in a day

I bet you that's a lot of food.
