Appeal to Pity

I'm sick of seeing Filipinos overseas going on TV and appealing to the peoples' pity
...to try to solicit money for medical reasons, or to be sent back home to the Philippines

This is what it basically means:
...'Have pity on us!' translates to 'Give us money!'
...maybe put them all together and have them play 'Questune' with Willie Revillame
...whoever wins gets to fly home, or get the much needed operation
...whoever loses, well, loses

But in all seriousity
...I thought about those 'Concerts' overeas that those 'Artistas' hold
...the 'Artistas' just make money off of those hard-working Filipinos
...and then take off to a new overseas destination
...and then take the money of more hardworking Filipinos overseas

Why not give part of the proceeds of those concerts to help the Filipinos who are in need
...with need being you know, a ticket back home
...or some kind of medical need?
